Step Father Eddie’s Famous Homemade Deep Dish Pizza

STUFF Required:

  • Bowl for mixing
  • Measuring cup/spoons
  • Whisk useful
  • 9x13 PAN
  • Pillsbury™ Hot Roll Mix
  • Hot water (1 cup)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 TB Butter
  • Cheese 2 bags, standard shredded
    (italian three cheese and mozzarella ideal, but can be substituted as you please)
  • Any Toppings Desired
  • Pizza sauce
    (14 oz should work, can be less, can be more, chef’s choice)
  • INSTRUCTIONS:

    FOLLOW PIZZA DIRECTIONS FOR INGREDIENTS (picture of the side of a hot roll mix box is located for convenience below) AND OVEN TEMPERATURE. BUT LOOK AT BREAD DIRECTIONS FOR MIXING AND KNEADING AND RISING!
    DON'T FORGET THE YEAST!!!!! And nice and hot water recommended when it is added

    MIXOLOGY:

    Make sure you stir in the yeast well into the flour before you add the water. Knead well using flour as needed when sticky. let rise, take the dough and spread it out. Take a rolling pin or facsimile cover with flour (also your hands) and roll to large rectangle.
    Take pan and turn upside down and make cookie cutter type imprint in the dough, then cut out with a relatively clean pair of scissors, lay in pan. and punch multiple stab wounds into the dough to aerate..
    While the dough is rising…
    PREHEAT OVEN to 425!!!

    SEQUENCE:

    This is where the magic happens

    1. PAINT THE DOUGH WITH SAUCE. ABOUT 2/3 JAR
    2. ADD FIRST BAG OF THREE ITALIANO CHEESE PLEASE (Italian three cheese. Mozzarella shredded substitute also sufficient)
    3. ADD THE TOPPINGS NEXT
    4. ADD SECOND BAG PIZZA CHEESE OR STRAIGHT MOZZARELLA
    5. DOLLOPS OF SAUCE WITH REMAINING 1/3 SAUCE

    The Big Finish!

    1. COOK AS DIRECTED OR BUBBLY
    2. LET SET 5-10 MIN.
    3. CUT in squares.
    4. Enjoy!
